During the Global Pet Expo 2025, which took place March 26-28, Wellness Pet Company unveiled sensitive skin and digestive health product offerings, new dental treat options and a variety of cat and dog food recipes.
Wellness Pet Company, one of the leaders in pet nutrition for over 25 years, returned to Global Pet Expo with new proven nutrition offerings to support healthy pets, including new dry dog food recipes, dental treats and tasty texture-rich wet options for cats. As high-quality nutrition remains the top priority for the company, Wellness Pet explains it continues to provide flavorful variety and solutions to nutritional needs for pets while supporting overall wellbeing.
With skin and gastrointestinal issues being cited as the top two reasons why pet parents bring their dog to the vet, Wellness Pet’s newest dry dog recipes specifically nourish the skin, coat and digestive health, the company points out. New Wellness® CORE+™ Sensitive Skin & Stomach and Wellness® Complete Health® Sensitive Skin & Stomach are highly digestible recipes with nutrient-rich salmon and dietary fibers, plus pre-, pro- and postbiotics to aid healthy digestion. Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids from salmon oil support a lustrous coat and healthy skin. These recipes deliver irresistible taste and support the 5 Signs of Wellbeing™ (Sustained Energy, Healthy Digestion, Healthy Skin & Coat, Immune Health and Healthy Teeth & Bones) while avoiding common allergens to dogs like beef, chicken and wheat, according to the announcement.
As part of its growing dental health portfolio, the company recently announced Wellness® WHIMZEES Freshzees™. This softer dental treat option for dogs includes parsley, a natural breath freshener, and strengthens dental health when chewed daily, Wellness Pet emphasizes. Available in XS, S and M sizes, Freshzees is formulated as a more comfortable dental treat option for soft chewers or older dogs to target the four areas vets check most: Breath, Plaque, Tartar and Gums.
Wellness Pet also continues to expand its wet cat food and variety pack options, offering complete and balanced meals with ingredients that support the 5 Signs of Wellbeing for felines. Wellness® Appetizing Entrées™ are now available in 2.8 oz pouches, as well as a variety pack, featuring four chicken and tuna recipes in shredded and flaked forms. The company explains that these protein-rich complete and balanced meals help promote hydration with crave-worthy recipes formulated with high-quality ingredients and added vitamins, minerals and taurine. Additionally, the Wellness® Complete Health® Tasty Textures Variety Pack now offers three delicious recipes in gravies and minced forms for fish-loving felines. Nine out of 10 cats approve of these Complete Health recipes, which do not include artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. As taste and variety continue to be top attributes for cat parents, a mix of forms and flavors keeps cats engaged, and larger package options help better support multi-cat households.
“Wellness Pet is continuing to focus product innovations on proven nutrition that targets pets’ nutritional needs, which commonly include skin and stomach sensitivities. Our new CORE+ and Complete Health Sensitive Skin & Stomach recipes are supporting a healthy coat and digestive system, which are key to dogs’ overall health,” said Dr. Danielle Bernal, global veterinarian with Wellness Pet Company. “These dry dog options, alongside our new softer dental treats and hydrating wet cat formulas, showcase our ongoing dedication to providing treats and food that cater to pets’ individual preferences while promoting complete wellbeing.”
These recipes were on display at Global Pet Expo, March 26-28th in Orlando, Florida. In addition to its product expansion, Wellness Pet states it remains committed to giving back through The Wellness Foundation™, which supports organizations like Pet Partners, Pets & People and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI). Pet Partners joined Wellness Pet Company at its booth on March 26 and 27 with volunteer therapy animal handlers and their registered therapy animals.
